Packing List aka Survival Kit
- 1. Trekking or outdoor activity pants (1-2 pairs)
- 2. T-Shirts (1 -2 pairs)
- 3. A pair of Trekking/Walking shoe
- 4. Sandals (one for camp ground and canoeing. Avoid flip-flops. A pair of light weight shoe is also ok for canoeing.)
- 5. A small day-pack @20 to 30 litres (to carry personal items like water bottle, warm clothes, rain gear etc to survive for outdoor activities sometimes up to a periods of 24hrs.)
- 6. Rain gear (like a good wind and waterproof jacket with hood or poncho)
- 7. Warm jacket
- 8. Gloves, beanie (ski-hat to protect from the cold) and sun-hat/Cap to protect from the sun
- 9. Thermal-wear,(longs johns) especially for those who can’t take the cold weather. Its summer in Dec, but evening weather in the Margaret River might be cold.
- 10. Personal toiletries, towels for showering, a small sweat towel
- 11. Small torch with batteries
- 12. Writing materials
- 13. One set of city clothes
- 14. Water bottle (preferably able to store at least1 litre of water)
- 15. A Pair of sunglasses
- 16. Sun Block
- 17. Sun Hat/Cap
- 18. Camera (optional)

From the photos, it looks quite challenging. Apprehensive but should be fun!
By the way, not sure if it is my computer but seems to take a long time to go to assess a page on this blog... Anyone else has this problem?
yah, I think it also looks quite scary. has to get prepared mentally for the adventure... ...
Maybe Zachia can give some advice here? I heard from Jit Jin, one of the participants in 2006. He says the water is cold too. So don't splash when doing kayaking. That kind of thing would not be reflected in pictures.
hehehe, y hav ur mind fixed with wat u see in the pics? Go experience the unknown. Will b much fun! Juz immerse yourself in the experience. Craft your own journey! =]
I can understand how you feel...cos I have also gone thru this when I was preparing for the trip in 2005 when we were the pioneer batch from NPCC to attend this course. All I can share with you is to go with an open mind and take on the challenges as they come! Sure you will enjoy it and be surprised with your own ability and the boundaries of your comfort zone!
