How the Legend Started

The NPCC Overseas Leadership Adventure Course, or OLAC for short, is the pinnacle course for NPCC officers. This course is modelled after a leadership command course for senior police officers and was introduced to NPCC in 2005. The OLAC aims to provide our NPCC leaders an advanced insight into facilitation of experiential learning programs, particularly with regard to team building, character development, leadership development and an exposure to nature and the environment. This program would be beneficial for officers identified for higher leadership appointment in the Corps.

Since its introduction, NPCC sends a contingent of about 20 officers annually to Western Australia for experiential learning. This year's OLAC will be held at Margaret River, Western Australia from 3 December 2007 (Monday) to 9 December 2007 (Sunday).
