Official Logo and Wordings

This is the logo and wordings that were sent to the supplier for the printing of the sweaters. Please note that the sweaters will be light grey instead of ivory. We can use the same design for customisation of our other items e.g. water bottles, caps, towels etc.

Sweater Design

So Wei Kiin managed to get the quotation for our OLAC sweater.

From Wei Kiin, "Managed to get the ivory sweater (50% cotton, 50% polyester). The cost is as follows: Embroidery (either in front or behind) = $22.00. Personalised with name (below logo in front) = $25.00."

Thanks Wei Kiin!

Okay, this morning received an email from Edmund. We have 2 options (see below):

Option 1

Option 2

I have set up a poll counter on the right.

Forming of the Fellowship

So we had our first meeting on 19 November 2007 (Monday). Many of us came earlier than the scheduled 1.30 pm as we were told that it was brought forward to 1 pm. However, it was an over-cue and some of us had to skip lunch as a result. Luckily, Serene came to our rescue and provided us with mineral water (but no food leh). Maybe in future HQ can consider catering refreshments for us!

Those who were lucky received their air tickets and visa. So we will be flying Qantas Airlines. Find out more about our plane Airbus 330-300 @

Okay, so we had the personality profiling - D, I, S, C whatever they mean. Apparently no one was "D" (dominant). Oops, does this mean that no one will be leading us in our 7 days in the wilds?

Then we had an ice-breaker session with the Aussie co-ordinators and most of us seemed pretty apprehensive about the trip especially when we were not allowed to know the programme details. Wei Kiin suggested designing a T-shirt and then ideas started coming in. Zac suggested a sweater and those who were still around agreed and Edmund kindly volunteered to design a logo for the sweater.

Initially I had difficulty figuring out what the "O" represents ... ... later then I realised that it was the outline of Western Australia and the dot is our destination - MARGARET RIVER where we are going to brave through untold dangers.

How the Legend Started

The NPCC Overseas Leadership Adventure Course, or OLAC for short, is the pinnacle course for NPCC officers. This course is modelled after a leadership command course for senior police officers and was introduced to NPCC in 2005. The OLAC aims to provide our NPCC leaders an advanced insight into facilitation of experiential learning programs, particularly with regard to team building, character development, leadership development and an exposure to nature and the environment. This program would be beneficial for officers identified for higher leadership appointment in the Corps.

Since its introduction, NPCC sends a contingent of about 20 officers annually to Western Australia for experiential learning. This year's OLAC will be held at Margaret River, Western Australia from 3 December 2007 (Monday) to 9 December 2007 (Sunday).
